Privacy
Curator is a shopping conversation, not a data-collection exercise. This page says plainly what we store, what we never store, and how to have anything removed.
Last updated 16 August 2026. Curator by Intellectz is operated by Intellectz LLC (Wyoming, USA). Questions: hello@intellectz.ai.
What we store for a merchant
- The store's public web address and platform.
- A cached copy of the store's public product catalogue — titles, descriptions, tags, prices, product images and links, exactly as any visitor to the storefront can see them.
- A brand profile generated from the store's own public pages and catalogue: display name, tone of voice, and the curation questions the curator asks.
- A contact email address, only if the merchant chooses to give one.
What we store from shopper conversations
- The answers a shopper types in the curator, and the products it recommended in reply.
- These records are not linked to any shopper identity. Curator does not ask for, receive, or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, account details or order history.
What we never have
- No customer personal data from Shopify or WooCommerce. The Shopify app requests no access scopes and no Admin API access at all — it cannot read customers, orders or checkout data, because it does not ask for permission to.
- No payment information. Curator never sees card, bank or billing details.
- No tracking across other websites. Curator sets no advertising cookies and does not follow shoppers around the web.
How the information is used
A store's catalogue and brand profile are used solely to run that store's own curator. Conversation records are used to show the merchant how their curator is performing and to improve the quality of the service. We do not sell data, and we never use one merchant's catalogue, brand profile or conversations to serve another merchant.
Service providers
Curator runs on established cloud hosting and database infrastructure, and uses contracted large-language-model providers to conduct conversations and generate recommendations. These providers process the information only to deliver the service and are bound not to use it to train their models. A current list of our processors is available to any merchant on request at hello@intellectz.ai.
Where data lives, and how long
Data is stored on managed infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region. A merchant's catalogue and brand profile are kept for as long as their curator is active. Conversation records are kept for up to 24 months so that merchants can see performance over time, then deleted.
Your rights and removal
- Merchants: email hello@intellectz.ai to export or delete everything associated with your store. Uninstalling the Shopify app also triggers deletion of your store's record.
- Shoppers: because conversations carry no identifying information, we cannot connect a conversation to you — which is the point. If you believe you typed something identifying into a curator, write to us with the store and approximate time and we will find and delete that record.
- Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your information. We honour those requests for anything we hold.
Shopify data requests
We implement Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. On a customer data request or customer redaction request we confirm that no personal data for that customer is held, because the app holds none. On a shop redaction request we delete the store's catalogue, brand profile and conversation records.
Children
Curator is a tool for retail businesses and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and notify merchants with an email address on file.
